Never Meant To Be

Building two was never meant to be. Upon looking at the property Martin and I decided we would tear it down, and never went inside until after the purchase. I am glad we kept it and transformed it in to two apartments, my office, Martins work shop and the laundry room.  As we finish the last stages of the renovation Martin and I agree that it would have been wiser to build the work shop first rather than last but what is it they say about the best plans?

We now have a kitchen to feed the crew.

We Need A Kitchen, Please Hurry!

No Kitchen = No food (Yeah Right!)

As 2012 began I could see the kitchen take form.

Meanwhile many other projects started and finished, such as insulating.

Then the second house was disassembled 8 feet at a time and rebuilt. Martin calls it "Building a house the hard way!

The Best Holiday Ever

 The Best Holiday Ever

Our grandson proclaimed after his first visit to our beach house "That was the best holiday ever!"
I am proud of this fact because we beat out some very excellent vacations including the big D.

Let's just say the accommodations were much nicer for Martin's daughter and her family then they were for his son's family visit. Not that it mattered too much because we spent most of the time enjoying all there was to do. No renovations for two whole weeks so it was a vacation for us as well.

There were a lot of tears later that day and the boys cried too.
